My art involves play in architectural space, where I work directly on and through the walls and floor. In a process of addition and removal, drywall, wood, plaster, light, paint, and other materials are moved throughout the space as I treat it like an unfolding, three dimensional drawing. Each day I work to find a new sense of balance and freshness between what I implement and the beams, floorboards, windows, doors and other architectural features of the space.

This work grows from the desire to be inside of a drawing. Experimentation with polarities such as large/small, moving/still, flat/dimensional, imagined/physical helps me redefine boundaries and enjoy the freedom in between.
